YP Fireside Chats

Question and Response

The next YP Fireside Chat will be on
Saturday, 22 November 2025!

The most recent YP Fireside Chat was on
Saturday, 22 November 2025.

We want these times to be as mutual as possible, so we encourage you to join Zoom in a group and even sing to the rest of us together (in any language). Please do reach out to Enyuan (WhatsApp: +31 6 19025427) ahead of time and we will do our best to call on you.

Looking forward to seeing you!

If you are in a group singing and playing guitar, you need to disable noise suppression by turning on ‘Original sound for musicians’ so that others can hear you. You need to change the Zoom settings to make this option visible if it is not yet visible.

Explanation of the steps in the images above:

  1. Select the arrow next to the Audio symbol
  2. Click on ‘Audio settings…’
  3. Select the ‘Audio’ menu item
  4. In the ‘Audio profile’ section, make sure ‘Original sound for musicians’ is selected. This only needs to  be done one time, and will make the option available on your Zoom.
  5. Select ‘Echo cancellation’ and then close the settings
  6. The ‘Original sound for musicians’ button will now be visible in the top right. When it is your turn to sing, click on it so it changes from ‘off’ to ‘on’
  7. It will look like this when it is ‘on’
  8. A pop up notice will appear to confirm that ‘Original sound for musicians is on. Noise suppression is disabled.’
  9. You can turn ‘Original sound for musicians’ back to off again if it is one person talking at a time.

Dear young people,

We know that following Jesus often raises serious questions. Whether you are occupied with school, friendships, family, or just figuring out what life is about. It’s important to have a space where you are free to ask your questions and receive helpful responses from other believers.

This survey gives you a chance to ask questions about your situation, even those you’ve never felt comfortable asking. No question is too small or big, and the survey is fully anonymous, so feel free to share what’s on your heart.

Our goal is to offer you practical responses (not answers!) which you can apply to your daily life. We are all learning and let the Lord’s leading in each one of us be the real answer.

We’ll try to address as many questions as possible during the Fireside Chat. If the questions are not responded to, we will save them and possibly get back to it during a next chat. For private or highly specific questions, we’ll try to find other ways to help.

The questions you can ask will be within the following categories:

  • School
  • Friends
  • Family
  • Personal Faith
  • Church
  • Other

We hope that this time will be helpful to you and satisfy God’s heart.

Thank you,
The brothers and helpers

There will be another fireside chat in a month. If you would like to submit a new question or follow-up question, here is the link to the survey: forms.gle/Su4vjKiq95xuXErB6.

Date Questions Covered Audio Duration (mins) Panelists
22 November 2025 In this fireside chat, questions were responded to on three topics.
Click here to show/hide the questions.
  1. Topic 1:
    • What is the Lord’s recovery and what is God’s economy?
    • Are we a religion?
    • How is the way we meet different from other Christians?
    • Are other Christian groups the church? And what is the church life exactly?
  2. Topic 2:
    • What can we do as YP to serve the Lord?
    • As YP, how can we serve the Lord?
    • How do we become “rapture ready”?
    • How can I work for the Lord’s move and how can I be a shepherd?
  3. Topic 3:
    • What does it mean to be an overcomer?
    • How can I overcome Satan’s accusations? Because during these days, I realized that I can’t behave/act normally. I have the feeling of someone controlling and restricting me from a lot of things (I think it’s the enemy who is doing that). There are things that come into my mind, for example: “If you do that they will think that you are…,” “Just be cool…”, “Don’t do these things so that you won’t make mistakes and others will not have bad feelings about you,” and some more. What can I do in this situation?

20 September 2025 In this fireside chat, questions were responded to on the topics of friend relationships, gospel preaching, and conversations.
Click here to show/hide the questions.
  1. My church says I shouldn’t be friends with people who aren’t in the church life. What’s the deal if my friend are not believers? I thought Jesus loves everyone. This is tough for me because my friends are really important to me, especially since it’s so hard to make friends where I am and even be myself around them. I don’t want to lose them.
  2. I want to bring my friends to the Lord so they can be saved. For that, what kind of relationship should I have with them? How does it work when I have friends I have known for a while or who live far away and I don’t see much?
  3. My friends sometimes ask me questions about what I believe or what the meaning of life is. It’s an opportunity to bring them to the Lord, but I don’t know what to say exactly. Sometimes I’m not even 100% sure of the answer myself and of the things I practice. How can I respond to them in a thorough way?

15 March 2025 In this fireside chat, questions were responded to on the topics of personal faith, family, and relationships.
Click here to show/hide the questions.
  1. What is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? I’ve been having trouble. And it scares me deeply that I’ve committed the sin. Though I know I have to come back to the Lord it just feels like I can’t. How do I overcome this feeling?
  2. If I believed but am not yet baptized, am I saved? / How can I understand if I am ready to receive the Lord (be baptized)?
  3. I want to repent and be cleansed but I sometimes just don’t feel sorry for my actions. / What should I do if I feel very convicted or guilty about a certain gross sin I’ve committed? And hobbies that I like but are worldly? / When I repent I sometimes feel like I’m not being genuine because I don’t really feel sorry for what I did. In Poland they shared we don’t need to confess the same thing twice as He already forgave it. I’m just confused what to do with that.
  4. There’s just been a fight in my family today and it hurts so much. I just want to have a loving family in the Lord. I don’t know how to deal with the situation since I’m immature. My heart is broken so I told the Lord everything but I long for an answer. What’s in it for me when I have to experience these things? Is it too much to ask for this? I hear testimonies from saints saying that this and that family is such a pattern, that a lot of saints go to their houses to hang out, etc. because they see something in that family. And I want the same thing to happen in my own. I understand that you can’t expect a perfect family, but it’s just too much for me.
  5. What do you do when you romantically like someone in the church that you feel you can even pray with but you are only YP? I feel I give it to the lord but nothing more is happening. / How to properly court in the church life?

7 December 2024 In this fireside chat, questions were responded to on the topics of mental health, fellowship, and the Lord’s move to Europe.
Click here to show/hide the questions.
  1. The first question is on the topic of mental health, and represents a number of the questions asked by YP. In the survey responses, some YP mentioned depression, anxieties, and hopelessness. One shared not being able to join small group fellowship without starting to cry because of certain distresses in family and being unable to find someone to talk to or who would listen. How would you brothers address this situation? At what point does it change from something that can be solved by faith to something that needs to be addressed by healthcare professionals?
  2. We have a few questions about suicide. The questioners mentioned having thoughts of suicide. One mentioned not being able to find anyone to shepherd him/her and not wanting to exist anymore. Another even mentioned having this thought daily and another wondered if the Lord would forgive someone who does this. This is a very serious issue that affects many YP today. Some may be entertaining these thoughts while others know ones who are entertaining these thoughts. How would you brothers help these ones?
  3. What is a practical way to request for fellowship from the brothers or other older saints? How do you start that conversation?
  4. Two questions on the Lord’s move to Europe:
    • If I want to learn more about the Lord’s move in Europe, which books in the Bible should I read?
    • I want to be for the Lord’s move in Europe, but I feel it is hard for me when there aren’t many saints in some locations.

26 October 2024 The fireside chat this month took place in person in Baarlo, and on Zoom. Questions were responded to on the topics of friends, church, and personal faith.
Click here to show/hide the questions.
  1. Friends:
    • I want to preach the gospel to my friends but don’t want to be accused and made fun of.
    • What kind of relationship can I have with my friends so that they can be saved?
    • I have good friends at school and I want to preach the gospel to them, but my natural relationship with them is bothering me. I can just talk or laugh with them, but when I want to preach the gospel or say that I believe in the Lord Jesus, doubts appear in my mind that I will say something wrong or unnecessary. In addition, I understand that by remaining in such natural relationships, I simply become like them. What I can do with my relationship with friends and with my preaching the gospel to them?
  2. Friends: How should I to react or act when someone is mocking Jesus and/or my faith?
  3. Church: I get asked often, “What church do you go to?” Like, here in England we have the ‘Church of England’ which is the Christian group that people think of for normal Christians but it’s hard to explain the Lord’s recovery (I also heard we aren’t technically meant to have a name). What might be a good way to explain what we are or what we do?
  4. Church: I have so many doubts about the church but I also love the church, and I love and am so for the Lord and His move. If the Lord’s church is the believers then why are we not blending with other groups of Christians and why do we always say we have the truths when these other Christians also have the Bible and may even have more than us? The way the brothers put things always made me feel like we are higher than others and that the overcomers are from the recovery. Also, if we don’t have a name for the church why do we refer to ourselves as ‘the recovery’?
  5. Personal Faith: I’m usually very spiritual but it’s hard to stay focused on the Lord while I’m with my worldly family. I try to keep in touch with the Lord but it gets difficult.

  1. Friends: I always feel that I stood out of my friend group. I did share the gospel with them but they just weren’t interested. I wanted to stay in the group, but I just know it isn’t good for me. What do I do?
  2. Other: I’ve been feeling emotionally drained and depressed for a year and don’t feel God. How do I come back to Him?
  3. Personal: I feel like I procrastinate a lot and spend too much time on my phone, not using my time correctly. Is there any way I can get rid of this habit biblically speaking?
