1. Where and when should I arrive?

The address of the Conference is 43a, Małe Ciche, 34-531 Murzasichle, Poland.

The Conference begins with dinner at 5:45pm on Lord's day 28th July 2019. The first meeting is at 6:45pm.

You may arrive in Małe Ciche on:
  • Saturday 27th July 2019 - an extra cost applies.
  • Lord's day 28th July 2019 - please plan to arrive in Małe Ciche no later than 5pm in order to give yourself time to check in at registration, find your accommodation house, have dinner, and get to the first meeting on time.
If you are travelling by:
  • Private car - please drive directly to Małe Ciche and check in at registration to find your accommodation assignment. You can then drive to your house and park your car nearer to the house.
  • Coach (arranged by the coordinator) from your country - you will be dropped off directly in Małe Ciche and will be directed to check in at registration.
  • Plane - the recommended airport is Krakow International Airport (KRK). The Conference is able to provide transportation (a transport fee will be added) between Krakow Airport and Małe Ciche if your flight is scheduled to arrive within the allocated times. There are two other airports that could be used, but the Conference is only able to provide transport from these airports to Małe Ciche in certain circumstances.
  • Train - the nearest main train station is Zakopane Train Station. From Zakopane you will need to take a bus to Małe Ciche.

2. What days and times does the Conference provide arrival transportation?

Arrivals: The Conference can guarantee transport from Krakow Airport (KRK) to Małe Ciche during the following days and times:
  • The day before the Conference, Saturday 27th July 2019 (flights arriving between 9am and 6pm).
  • The day of the Conference, Lord's day 28th July 2019 (flights arriving between 9am and 2pm).
Please try to choose flights that arrive within these recommended times, and select on your registration form that you would like transport to Małe Ciche.

Late arrivals: Flights arriving on Lord's day 28th July 2019 between 2pm and 4pm are considered as late arrivals as you will not reach Małe Ciche in time for the start of the Conference. We expect that we will be able to provide transport for these arrivals, but we would recommend that you arrive before 2pm if you are able to. It could take an hour or more before you are seated on the bus and then a further three hours before you arrive in Małe Ciche.

Later arrivals: Transport for flights arriving on Lord's day 28th July 2019 between 4pm and 6pm is not guaranteed. You may request transportation for these times on your form, but you should not expect it. We will inform you in early July whether or not we will be able to provide transport. We strongly recommend scheduling an earlier flight if you are able to.
  • If we are not able to provide transportation, then you will need to make your own arrangements to travel to Małe Ciche.
  • If we are able to provide transportation, then please be aware there may be a long wait (up to three hours) at the airport before your transportation leaves, followed by a three-hour drive to Małe Ciche. You will arrive very late at night in Małe Ciche.
Too late arrivals: Please do not request transport for flights arriving Lord's day 28th July 2019 after 6pm. Please book a flight earlier in the day or the day before the Conference (Saturday 27th July 2019). If you arrive after 6pm on Lord's day 28th July 2019, you will need to make your own arrangements to travel to Małe Ciche.

3. What days and times does the Conference provide departure transportation?

Departures: The Conference can provide transport to Krakow Airport or Krakow Train Station from Małe Ciche on the following days:
  • The day the Conference finishes, Saturday 3rd August 2019 - evening flights recommended so you do not miss the end of the Conference.
  • The day after the Conference finishes, Lord's day 4th August 2019 - flights after 9am; otherwise, you should travel the previous day and spend the night closer to the airport.
If you are going to Krakow Airport then you should estimate that your departure from Małe Ciche will need to be at least five hours before your flight in order to reach the airport on time.

Other departures: No transport will be provided for departures on any other days. You will need to make your own arrangements to travel from Małe Ciche.

4. Do you provide transportation between Krakow Train Station and Małe Ciche?

Arrivals: Pick up transportation is NOT provided from Krakow Train Station, so unless you make your own travel arrangements from Krakow Train Station directly to Małe Ciche (this is not recommended), you will need to take an additional train or local bus to Krakow Airport to join the Conference buses leaving from there. Please ensure you arrive at Krakow Airport within the allocated transport times. Please select the following options on your form:
  • Arrival location = Krakow Train Station
  • Pick up from = Krakow Airport
  • Pick up after = the earliest time you can be at the airport.
Departures: It is possible to select Krakow Train Station as a drop-off location; however, please bear in mind that you will need to be flexible with your assigned transportation time, e.g., we may only provide drop-offs to Krakow Train Station on Saturday afternoon and Lord’s Day morning. If you need to get to Krakow Train Station at other times, you may need to take the Conference bus to Krakow Airport, and from there, take the local train or bus to get to Krakow Train Station.

5. My flight arrives early in the morning to Krakow Airport; what should I do?

Flights should be booked following the instructions given in this FAQ and in coordination with the saints in your cluster and country coordinator. We recommend booking flights that arrive no earlier than 9am and no later than 2pm, although you can arrive up to 6pm the day before the Conference starts.

If your flight arrives at an earlier time, you will need to wait at the airport until the Conference bus service begins.

6. My flight leaves early in the morning from Krakow Airport after the Conference; what should I do?

Flights should be booked following the instructions given in this FAQ and in coordination with the saints in your cluster and country coordinator. We recommend booking flights that depart on the evening of the last day of the Conference (Saturday 3rd August 2019) so that you do not miss the last message or the next day (Lord's day 4th August 2019) after 9am.

If your flight leaves earlier than 9am, then you will need to make your own way to the airport by bus or by taxi. Alternatively, you could take the transportation provided by the Conference to Krakow Airport or Krakow Train Station on the last day of the Conference (Saturday 3rd August 2019) and stay closer to the airport that night; you will need to arrange your accommodation in Krakow yourself.

7. I booked pick-up transportation; what should I expect when I arrive at Krakow Airport?

We are still coordinating the details for this year, and so more information will be posted here closer to the time.

8. Will you do airport pick-ups or drop-offs from any airports other than Krakow Airport?

Flights should be booked in coordination with the saints in your cluster and your country coordinator. In addition to Krakow Airport, we can pick up/drop off saints from Katowice Airport (KTW) and Rzeszów Airport (RZE). However, the Conference is NOT providing transportation between these airports (Katowice and Rzeszów) and Małe Ciche for individual saints but only for large groups (20+) of saints travelling together. Please do not request transportation from these airports unless your coordinator has instructed you to.

If individuals choose to fly into these additional airports, we can only help by posting details of public buses / transportation schedules.

9. Will I have to wait a long time at the airport after you drop me off?

We will try to arrange your transportation so that you do not have an excessive waiting time at the airport, but this will not always be possible. This is especially true for flights that depart very late in the evening, e.g., after 9pm. We would ask you to take grace in this matter and enjoy spending extra time with other Conference attendees while you are at the airport. If there are a number of hours between your drop-off time and check-in for your flight, you could consider taking a short trip into Krakow on the train.

10. I heard there is a blending trip in Krakow after the Conference; may I join?

The Krakow blending trip is open to all saints who are staying an extra day after the Conference and is mandatory for all of the saints registered for the YP Conference from North America, both young people and shepherds.

There will be a Lord's table meeting with the church in Krakow at 11am and prophesying meeting, followed by lunch and a Bible distribution in the city centre on Lord's Day afternoon. If you would like to join the Bible distribution, please indicate this on the travel page of your form so that the saints in Krakow can prepare adequately.

For more information, including the schedule and address for the Lord’s table, please see this invitation from the church in Krakow.

Leaving Małe Ciche: The saints from North America will leave Małe Ciche after the Conference ends on Saturday and spend the night in Krakow.

Other saints may choose to:
  • Leave Małe Ciche on Saturday and spend the night in Krakow (you will need to make your own arrangements for accommodation): please select Krakow Train Station or Hotel Studencki Piast (Krakow) as your drop-off location.
  • Stay the extra night in Małe Ciche and take the early bus (8am) on Lord’s Day directly to the Lord’s table meeting in Krakow: please select Hotel Studencki Piast (Krakow) as your drop-off location.
Transportation once in Krakow: Transport after the Lord's table meeting will not be provided so you need to make your own arrangements for your onward journey. Polish-speaking saints will be available to help you call a taxi after the meeting (after 1pm) but not before. The taxi journey is approximately 20 minutes from the hotel to the airport. Please try to minimise disruption to the meeting, i.e., try not to arrive late nor leave early.

Please note that the location of the Lord’s table meeting (Hotel Studencki Piast) is not within walking distance to Krakow Train Station and you will need to use other transportation to get there or to Krakow airport, e.g, by taxi. It is not recommended that you try to join the Lord’s table if your flight leaves before 3pm; rather you should go directly to the airport.

11. Is it possible to request transportation after the registration deadline (2nd June 2019)?

You have until the transport deadline (16th June 2019) to make changes to your travel details, which includes requesting extra nights and transportation. After this date, you will no longer be able to request extra nights in Małe Ciche nor request transportation through your form.

12. What should I do if I am not able to confirm my travel information before the transport deadline (16th June 2019)?

Please only provide us with confirmed (booked) travel information on your form.

Travel plans should be arranged with your country coordinator and solidified as soon as possible. We need your accurate arrival and departure information in order to make the house, room, and meal bookings for the entire Conference, and we need your accurate and complete travel information to arrange and book buses for the airport pick-ups and drop-offs. Missing information, inaccuracies, and late changes make these services more complicated and time-consuming than they need to be, especially as the Conference continues to grow every year. It is for this reason that we ask you to please do your best to confirm your travel plans and update your registration form before the deadline.

We understand that, on occasion, there are extenuating circumstances leading to someone really being unable to complete or confirm their travel details before the deadline. It would be best if you can send a brief email to transport@ypconference.eu so that we know about your particular situation. Please make every effort to let us know as soon as possible once you have confirmed travel information.

We may not respond to your emails unless there is a need to, but this will help give us an awareness of how our transportation arrangements could be affected once you have your confirmed information. Please also note that although we will try our best to assist with late transportation requests after the deadline, there is no guarantee that we will be able to provide transportation for you. Once the bus arrangements are finalised, you may need to make your own arrangements to travel to and from Małe Ciche, e.g., by local bus or taxi, and we will let you know if this is the case.

13. How do I inform you if my travel details change?

If your travel details change before the transport deadline (16th June 2019), then please log in to your registration and make the changes to your form. If you have any changes after this deadline, then you should immediately send an email to transport@ypconference.eu. Please note that doing so does not guarantee that we will be able to make additional travel arrangements for you.
