FAQ
The topic for the 2023 European Young People’s Conference is The Significance, Preciousness, and Enjoyment of the Birthright in God’s Economy.
The European Young People’s Conference is intended for young people who are 13-19 years old. Young people from ages 13-15 will attend the Junior Conference, and young people from ages 16-19 will attend the Senior Conference.
Registrants who are 20-22 years old can come as helpers.
Registrants who are 23+ years old can come as serving ones with the young people and those who are 20+ years old as practical serving ones.
Note: The European Family Conference (EFC) will be taking place concurrently and parents and children from 0-12 years old are invited to attend. Please see the EPCC website for more details.
- Helpers must be 20-22 years old.
- Practical serving ones must be 20+ years old.
- Serving ones must be 23+ years old.
- Helpers – For brothers and sisters from the ages of 20-22. Helpers will help serve with the young people in coordination with other serving ones. Helpers will be assigned to a group with a serving one and a few young people and will stay in the same room as them during the Conference.
- Serving ones – For those who are 23+ years old. Serving ones will attend as shepherds to care for the young people. They will be assigned to stay in the same room as the young people who are under their care during the Conference. There is a one-hour serving ones’ coordination at 6am before the young people wake up.
- Practical serving ones – There are many practical needs during the Conference that require some to help carry out.
- Activities – Activities are a main part of this Conference and take place on 4 different days after lunch and before the evening meeting. The activities consist of outdoor games, orienteering, a project, and hiking; teams will rotate between the different activity stations each day. The Activity Team is responsible for setting up and running the various activity stations during the week and keeping track of each team’s scores.
- Inspections – The Inspection Team is responsible for checking the cleanliness of the young people’s rooms. This will be done in pairs three times during the week during the morning meeting.
- First aid – For those who are certified physicians/nurses or have some experience/training in the medical field. The First-aid Team provides care for those who become unwell or sustain any injury during the Conference. The First Aid Office will be open 30 minutes before the morning meeting, 30 minutes after the evening meeting, and from 3-4pm.
- Audio – This will be a full-time service for the entirety of the Conference. Those who serve on Audio will serve on dedicated teams for the Junior, Senior, or Family Conference. The responsibility of the Audio Team is to manage and record the audio during the morning and evening meetings. Experience is recommended but not totally necessary.
- Security – For brothers only. For this service, brothers will be assigned to sleep overnight in one of the Conference tents in pairs to keep watch over the equipment; this could either be for one or two nights during the Conference depending on how big the Security Team is. The tent will be closed, the alarm will be activated, and a mattress, a sleeping bag, and a flashlight will be provided.
- Guitars – For those who have some experience playing the guitar. A schedule will be created, and a few will be assigned to play guitar together during each of the the singing times before the messages begin for the morning and evening meetings.
- Check-in/Arrivals (first day only) – For those who are planning to arrive early to the Conference venue (Małe Ciche) on Lord’s Day, or at least one day before the Conference begins on Saturday. The Check-in/Arrivals Team will welcome the saints when they arrive, give them their Conference materials (outlines/T-shirts), and direct them to their accomodation. This service will take up the majority of the first day.
